1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering, accessing, or using Lawyer Register Legal Management (“Platform”), the user agrees to these Terms and Conditions and creates a legally binding electronic contract under Section 504 of the Muluki Civil Code, 2074.

Acceptance occurs when a user registers an account, clicks “I Agree,” or uses the Services after being presented with these Terms.

2. Eligibility

Users must:

  • Be legally competent to enter contracts
  • Provide accurate information
  • Use lawful identity details
  • Use the platform only for lawful legal and professional purposes

Advocates may be required to provide Nepal Bar Council details for verification.

3. Nature of Services

The Platform provides tools for:

  • Case management

  • Law office administration
  • Team collaboration
  • Notifications and reminders

The Platform does not provide legal representation or legal advice.

4. Account Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

  • Accuracy of uploaded information
  • Compliance with professional ethics and applicable laws
  • Sharing accounts without authorization is prohibited.

5. Professional Responsibility

Users remain solely responsible for:

  • Compliance with limitation periods
  • Accuracy of legal documents
  • Ethical duties toward clients
  • Confidentiality obligations under law and professional conduct rules

Use of the Platform does not replace professional judgment.

6. Prohibited Conduct

All software, designs, trademarks, logos, databases, and platform content remain the intellectual property of Lawyer Register Legal Management unless otherwise stated.

Users retain ownership over their uploaded legal documents and case files.

8. Data and Confidentiality

We shall maintain confidentiality of personal information in accordance with applicable Nepal laws including Section 12 of the E-Commerce Act, 2081.

Users acknowledge that internet-based systems may involve residual security risks despite reasonable safeguards.

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain uninterrupted services but do not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Complete immunity from downtime
  • Permanent storage without backup limitations

Scheduled maintenance or technical interruptions may occur.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawyer Register Legal Management shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of cases or legal rights
  • Missed hearings or deadlines
  • Data loss due to user negligence
  • Indirect or consequential damages
  • Business interruption
  • Unauthorized third-party access beyond reasonable control

Users should maintain independent backups of important records.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts where users:

  • Violate these Terms

  • Create security risks
  • Misuse the Services

Users may discontinue use at any time.

12. Amendments

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Nepal.

Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of competent courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.

Lawyer Register Legal Management (“LRLM”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a digital legal management platform and mobile application designed to assist lawyers, law firms, legal consultants, and authorized staff in managing cases, client records, court dates, पेशी (Pesi), documents, billing, schedules, and related legal practice operations.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, disclose, and protect personal information when users access or use our website, mobile applications, APIs, cloud systems, or related services (“Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy and consent to lawful processing of information in accordance with the prevailing laws of Nepal, including:

Lawyer Register Legal Management (“Platform”) is an independent private legal management software platform developed for administrative, organizational, and practice management purposes.

The Platform is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorized by, operated by, or officially connected with:

  • Government of Nepal
  • Supreme Court of Nepal
  • Nepal Bar Council
  • Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
  • Any court, tribunal, constitutional body, judicial authority, or government agency

Any reference to courts, hearing dates, case details, पेशी schedules, advocates, or legal proceedings is solely for user administrative convenience and does not constitute official government information unless expressly stated.

Users must independently verify all court dates, filings, notices, orders, and legal records through official authorities.

2. Acceptable Use Policy

Users agree to use the Platform lawfully, ethically, and professionally.

Users shall not:

  • Upload forged, unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent, or misleading content
  • Violate advocate-client confidentiality obligations
  • Use fake identities, fake licenses, or impersonate advocates or clients
  • Upload malware, malicious code, or harmful software
  • Attempt unauthorized access to systems, databases, or user accounts
  • Interfere with platform operations or security mechanisms
  • Use the Platform for cybercrime, harassment, surveillance, or unlawful activities
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Misuse court names, government logos, or public authority identities
  • Access information without proper authorization

Users are solely responsible for all content, files, documents, communications, and information uploaded, stored, shared, or transmitted through the Platform.

Violation of this Policy may result in suspension, permanent termination, reporting to competent authorities, and legal action where applicable.

3. User Responsibility and Verification

The Platform functions only as a digital assistance and management tool.

Users remain solely and independently responsible for:

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by prevailing law, Lawyer Register Legal Management and its owners, developers, employees, affiliates, consultants, and service providers shall not be liable for:

  • Missed hearings or deadlines
  • Loss of cases or legal rights
  • Incorrect user-entered information
  • User negligence
  • Legal malpractice claims
  • Data loss caused by third parties
  • Unauthorized access beyond reasonable security controls
  • Service interruptions
  • Cyber attacks

  • Loss of profits, revenue, reputation, or business opportunities
  • Indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages

Users acknowledge that all digital systems involve inherent technological and cybersecurity risks.

Where liability cannot legally be excluded, total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the user to the Platform, if any, during the preceding twelve (12) months.

5. Force Majeure

The Platform shall not be liable for any delay, interruption, failure, data loss, or inability to provide services caused directly or indirectly by events beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Pandemic or epidemic
  • War or civil unrest

The Platform does not claim ownership over user legal documents or confidential client materials.

This restriction does not apply to user-owned legal documents uploaded by users.

Administrative and technical access to user data is strictly restricted and controlled through reasonable security and access management procedures.
